From the author of the Contos com Nível series, Ana Sousa Martins, in collaboration with co-author Ana Paula Gonçalves and illustrator Sofia Alcântara, comes this new series dedicated to children and young people, which can also be used by learners of other age groups.

Histórias do Mundo is Lidel`s new extensive reading collection for Portuguese as a Foreign Language, Heritage Language and Non-Mother Tongue.
It consists of three volumes divided into A1, A2 and B1 levels, with a total of 57 stories from all continents, carefully rewritten to offer easy and enriching reading. This volume was written especially for beginners at A1 level, appealing not only to a children`s audience, but also to a more adult audience. It contains 17 well-known stories, retold in a simple way, with lots of funny details and an ever-increasing rhythm of surprising events. All the words, expressions and phrases have been carefully considered, making for an effortless and entertaining read! At the same time, the learner reviews and acquires new vocabulary, consolidates sentence structures and develops their fluency. The most difficult words are explained in the margin of the page, often with small illustrations designed specifically for this collection. The reader also has access to the audio version of all the stories, as well as some exercises, so they can read and listen to the texts simultaneously, or separately, at any time of the day. At the end of the book, you`ll find a glossary, where you can quickly review the form and meaning of words you`re still having trouble with.
